PCOS (POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME)
Pcos is a hormonal disorder common among women of reproductive age . Women with pcos may have prolonged menstrual periods or excess male
hormones (androgen) levels. The ovaries may develop numerous small collection of fluids (follicles) and fail to regularly release eggs . Pcos can affect a women's menstrual cycle, fertility, cardiac function and appearance.
*It can cause type 2 diabetes .
*It causes depression and mood swings .
*Womens have high bp issues and high cholesterol levels.
*Most commonly sleep apnea is also a risk factor of Pcos .
What diet womens should have in Pcos ?
* High fiber diet may benefits to women with Pcos , such as lowers the insulin levels and antioxidants which fights to lower inflammation.
Example,
Seeds (chia , flax , sunflower seeds )
Legumes (black beans , lentils , chick peas)
Berries
Whole grains
*women's should eat lean protein like include 2-3 servings if fish per week , or have a chicken (grilled or steamed) , and plant based sources of protein.
*Eat antioxidants heavy foods like fruits , vegetables, whole grains and unsaturated fats.
*DASH diet is also good for Pcos women's.
It includes all fruits and vegetables.
Whole grains like whole wheat and brown rice .
Poultry and fish .
Legumes like peanuts, chickpeas and peas .
Nuts and seeds .
You should avoid the followings,
Refined carbohydrates like white bread , pizza , fast foods etc .
Beverages
Sugary processed foods
And alcohol.
After the introduction to Pcos i may tell u the best way to treat it ,
SEED CYCLING
In this seed cycling we eat seeds for 30 days ,start this cycle on the first day of your periods , like 2 cycles of 15 , 15 days . This method helps alot in removing that follicles.
First 15 days eat these seeds :
Flax seed 1 1/2 tbsp
Black seed 1/2tsp
Pumpkin seed 1 1/2 tbsp
Then the 2nd cycle of 15 days :
Sesame seeds 1 1/2 tbsp
Fenugreek seeds 1/2 tsp
Sunflower seeds 1 1/2 tbsp
Pcos is increasing in womens and its a big stress , so by proper diet and excercises we can treat it .
